Back to my roots - Ian Holloway

Ian Holloway's press conferences are always good value for money. Amusing and quirky, the new Blackpool boss has a refreshing outlook on the game in an age where the same tired clichés abound elsewhere.

But don't let this light hearted persona give you a false impression. "Ollie" is a true student of the game and as fiercely determined today as he was as a player. The same spirit drives Holloway now as it did in his early days at Bristol Rovers, as we found out when we took him back to his roots.

Congratulations to Jane Chalkey of who has won a fantastic day out to the Alton Towers Resort for the under 11 boys at Shefford Saints FC. Jane's son Chris runs the team so he'll be taking all the lads and the rest of the coaching staff for a great team day out this summer!

Congratulations also to Steve Moss, chairman of Bourne Town Juniors who won an Umbro kit bag and half a dozen footballs for his club!

In fact, you were all so keen to get yourself some new gear for next season, we decided to give away another load of balls. To get involved, take a look at our competitions page. Good luck!

Club Website monthly round-up

As you can see from the all-new Club House and our new look website, it's been a busy old few weeks at Club Website! We've given our site a bit of a makeover that we feel better reflects our outlook on football: exciting, modern and forward-thinking!  We're excited about the way we're taking football and we want you to be too as you join the Football Revolution.

We want to change football for the better and, to do that, we need you to be involved! You are the people on the ground, the real voice of football in the UK, so we want you to shape the debate. To spark the discussion and gather your all-important views, we’ve set up the new comments section on all of our news pages - like this piece on 'Respect' - so tell us what you think. We want to hear from you – be part of the revolution!

Of course, we're still doing what we do best with our club and league service, but you'll be pleased to hear we've got big plans for both of these! In fact, you can get a sneak peak of what the new league website will look like on a tour of our league service pages.

At the same time, we continue to make our club service more efficient for our users. If all you administrators out there have yet to see the changes to your admin area then why not take a look?

We've only got to where we are today because of the active involvement of you lot out there. We want to keep taking Club Website in the right direction and to do that we need you to be right in the thick of things.

So, if you have any comments on The Club House, our new website or any other aspect of our service we really want to hear them - good or bad. We also want you to shape the debate so that we're reporting on the issues that matter to you, the people at the heart of the game. If there's something you'd like us to investigate then let us know.

Please email clubnews@clubwebsite.co.uk with your comments, burning issues or suggestions.  We look forward to hearing from you!

So, till next month...

Yours in football,

The Club Website Team
