'Game Changer' for women's football
The Football Association this week launched 'Game Changer' - an ambitious new plan for the future of women’s football in England.
The five-year strategy aims to harness the momentum from the London 2012 Olympics and turn women’s football into the second largest team sport in the country - behind only men's football - by 2018.

And another thing...
What a chock-a-block month it's been on the grassroots football front! Of course, we've kept you abreast of everything here at Club Website. At the start of the month we brought you news of a momentous day for the English FA with the opening of St George's Park, lauded by Gary Neville as the best he's seen and Sir Trevor Brooking, who said it will improve the depth of English football.
The annual Scottish FA Grassroots Awards bought success for a few Club Website members, including Linlithgow Rose's Doug Johnston and Kelso FC's Derek Paterson - both of whom scooped individual awards - and
Aberdeenshire club Westdyke FC, named Best Community Club.
The unsung heroes of English grassroots football were honoured at Wembley at the FA Community Awards, while there was a Wembley launch for the new FA Carlsberg Referee Awards, setup to highlight the good work of grassroots referees and attract new officials to the game.
A few eyebrows were raised as the senior England team were given a code of conduct for future behaviour, with debate raging on our Facebook and Twitter pages, whilst 78% of you think codes of conduct are a good idea for any team, whether full of ten-year-olds or seasoned internationals!
We brought you the latest news from the Scottish FA in Scotland United,
the pilot episode for a new monthly round-up from north of the border, plus there was news from Sport England of the creation of 165 new sports pitches as a result of £2.4m of National Lottery funding.
Finally, we said "Happy Birthday Football!" as the world's oldest club, Sheffield FC, celebrated their 155th birthday this week. That got us thinking... wondering how long they had to wait around before they had another team to play against!
