Dear fellow footballer,

Welcome to the Club House - November 2008

The Club House is the monthly e-newsletter from Club Website, the home of grassroots football. Each and every month we keep you informed of the major developments occurring in the real game of grassroots football, providing you with news, stories and interviews from around the UK football community.

Always an informative read that should stimulate the taste buds of players, managers and committee members alike, this month's edition of the Club House is our biggest and best yet... happy reading!

In the spotlight this month…

Back to my roots - Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane is the embodiment of the phrase "living the dream".  Growing up in Dublin, his bedroom walls were covered with posters of his Liverpool idols and now he's strutting his stuff in front of the Kop on a regular basis.

Club Website recently caught up with Liverpool's latest number 7 and took him back to his roots to hear about his experience of grassroots football in Dublin, his big move over to England as a teenager, fulfilling his boyhood dreams at Liverpool and what it means to be his country's captain and leading goalscorer.

Club Website and Graham Poll talk refereeing and Respect

Graham Poll was once described by Sir Alex Ferguson as "undoubtedly this country's top referee over the last 10 years". Since hanging up his boots and whistle in 2007, Poll has been sharing his strong and often controversial views with the country's football fans as a media pundit.

Now he's been talking football with Club Website and, as usual, he tells it as he sees it.  We hear Poll's views on grassroots referees, the Respect campaign, how to improve the laws of the game and what it takes to become a referee.
